What is hot for wintry wonder? Deep smoky neutrals and freshly finished skin. This look with Concrete Chic is all about the eye with a “Graduated Smoke” technique with the eye-shadow, a pop of light color on the cheeks, and a nude and glossy mouth.
The Graduated Smoke is all about building color from the lashes up. Starting with the deepest charcoal along the lash line, layered with the midnight blue and blended upwards with the taupe. A hot white highlight under the brow, line with charcoal shadow and a couple of coats of mascara. Voila!
Skin is clean and fresh and perfect looking. I think a semi-matte finish is appropriate so that the eye is really the focus. Use a powder that cuts the shine, but doesn’t add any pigment.
Foundation suggestion? Georgio Armani’s “Luminous Silk” is creamy and smooth and gives a wonderful finish.
