Level 1 Beauty Makeup Program : (80 hours w/ certification)

A  "beauty" makeup is considered any makeup application and technique that is not a special effect. Therefore the Level 1 Beauty Makeup Course covers all that an individual needs to understand and apply a full makeup for everyday, bridal, print, film, and the retail cosmetic industry. Whatever industry is chosen, the student will have a firm knowledge of the basics of the craft of professional makeup artistry.
The course covers makeup and color theory, history, face shapes and light corrective techniques, full application and eye and lip treatments. (See more detailed curriculum below.)
This course covers a 2 week period with 80 class hours. Mornings will be devoted to theory, lecture, and specific application techniques while afternoons are all practical work. Students will work on each other during the course except for the last day which is "Model Friday".
Upon completion of the course students will be given a certification of completion. Students should expect to have completed at least 30 hours of practical application by the end of the course, enough to secure licensing if applicable.

Cost: $1650.00 This includes all of your supplies.

*A note from Terri.
I know that several makeup training facilities suggest that having students work on each other is a waste of time. I disagree with this as I believe that watching anyone else perform your craft is educational and gives one experience. I have always benefited whenever I have been able to watch another artist work. I also believe that it is important to see the "other side" of makeup artistry, as one needs to know what it feels like, and give feedback to the artist.

Deposits and Payment:
If you are interested in a class please email me or call. I will send you an invoice for a deposit through Paypal. You can also pay your deposit below. Once a deposit is given the student will be sent registration information. Payment for the entire program is due one week prior to the first day of class. An invoice for the total minus the deposit will be sent out at this time for full payment. Payment can be made with check or credit card.
Deposits are forfeited upon cancelation if student does not give at least 2 weeks notice prior to class. (In other words, you  may cancel your spot up to 14 days before the program begins and receive your deposit back in full.)

Kit Supplies and Tools:
If a student has a professional kit they are encouraged to bring that kit and work from it. All students will be required to have a full brush set for their own usage.  All makeup products and kit supplies will be provided by the school. I do not sell any products and do not force student to purchase a kit for this program. I believe that in the course of the program students will have an opportunity to try many kinds of products and therefore create a kit from those items they like later on. It also gives students a chance to work with specific products for specific mediums.

Breaks and Lunch:
There will be a one hour break for lunch each day. Students may take a half hour if desired and work during the free time.
We will have breaks throughout the day for drinks and other needs. Two days a week we will have a question and answer "working lunch" for those interested.

My teaching style
I am a very relaxed teacher and enjoy sharing what I know.  I do however bring a lot of information to each class so it is important to take notes and pay attention. I'm honest, I'm open, and fun. Each student will be given a written manual of the course to follow.

Private Instruction
For those artists that need specific training I do offer private class work. This is very intensive one-on-one training that is specific to your needs. I like to offer this instruction in half day segments so as to not overload the student. The cost for this instruction is by the hour, and the student is responsible for their own model.

Studio Space
Currently my classes are being held at Bolt Productions in the design district. This is a working industry studio. There will be 2 students per makeup station. It is a wonderful place to train. Map and address will be sent along with registration info.
